acc_a.jpg (22K) This is a page from an announcement. Faintly, on the left edge, is the stamp "Exhibited Block 6 " over "Machinery Hall". The most likely source is the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair.

The 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago is 8 years before the Patent Application; that would seem to eliminate it from consideration. However, there were international expositions and world's fairs, both inside and outside the US. The list of candidates includes the following: 1900, Paris (just one year before the patent); 1901, Buffalo; 1904, Saint Louis; 1905, Liège; 1906, Milan; 1907, Dublin; 1907, Hampton Roads, USA; 1909, Seattle; 1910, Brussels; 1911, Turin; 1913, Gent; and 1915, San Francisco. It's hard to say "new" some 14 years after the patent was granted, so I've stopped here. One way to reduce the list of candidates would be to check which had a Machinery Hall.
