This clamp weighs 1 lb.. The base is 16" long x 1 1/2" wide x 1" deep. The screw is 10" long. The whole piece is in superb condition.

The stop and the fixed block are affixed with square nails and brass screws. "Aldrich Lowell, Mass" is embossed on the top of the fixed block.

The number "17" is stamped into the end of the screw handle.

I believe that the nails and screws are additions by owners. The significance of the 17 is unknown.
